Soulful Serenity Newsletter 37
As-salāmu alaykum, Dear beautiful soul,
Bismillah,
I want to share something I saw recently that I really resonated with. I was scrolling through social media, not really paying attention, when a post about a certain penguin caught my eye. At first, I didn’t think much of it. Social media trends come and go. But then, I watched a short clip, and it stayed with me.
It was from a 2007 documentary that’s gaining traction again in 2026. The clip showed a penguin leaving its colony, leaving the path that all the others were taking, and stepping into the unknown. It paused for a moment, turned back to look at the flock, the family it was leaving behind, and then, with quiet determination, it walked away. Nobody knows what became of it, but that moment, that choice, spoke volumes.
Stepping Away From the Familiar
Watching that penguin, I felt a deep resonance. Sometimes, growth requires leaving behind what is familiar, what is comfortable, what is expected. Sometimes, we have to take a road that no one else is taking , and trust that it’s the right path for us.
I saw myself in that penguin. Over the years, I’ve chosen paths that were unconventional. I’ve stepped away from familiar expectations, from patterns I didn’t feel aligned with, and at times, it felt isolating. Maybe that’s why I resonate so deeply with the courage of that single penguin. Because growth is never easy. Growth asks for faith, resilience, and the willingness to stand alone when necessary.
How Emotional Healing Made It Possible
And I couldn’t have taken those steps without emotional healing.
When I began this work, I learned to stand on my own. To trust myself. To honor my needs and my purpose. Emotional healing taught me that stepping out of the box, away from the colony, is not a weakness it is a strength.
It takes courage to admit that you need help. It takes even more courage to seek it, to say, “I want a better life. I want to grow. I want to connect with myself and Allah.” That is what therapy, reflection, and intentional healing provide. They give you the strength to step into your own path, even when it feels unknown or uncomfortable.
Breaking Cycles, Creating Community
I want to extend this opportunity to you. Because stepping out alone doesn’t mean you have to feel unsupported.
- My book, Journey to Growth, shares my perspective on transformation and healing. If you don’t have a copy, the e-book is available on my website and proceeds go towards supporting women who are working to step into their strength and break their own cycles.
- My website now features all workshops, masterclasses, and emotional healing sessions. Each one is designed to help you learn, grow, and gain the tools to stand in your own power. You can explore them, book a session, or reach out directly for guidance.
Investing in your growth is not just about knowledge; it’s about giving yourself permission to step out of the familiar and into the life you were meant to live.

A Reflection
This penguin reminded me of something simple, yet profound: sometimes the bravest thing we can do is walk away from the path everyone else is on, and choose the road that is ours alone.
Notice where you’ve been following the crowd ,doing what’s expected, what feels easy, or what others value more than yourself. And ask yourself: where is the one step I could take differently? Where could I honor my purpose, my growth, and my connection with Allah?
Courage isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet. It’s the whisper inside that says: I will step forward anyway.
May this reflection give you the strength to take that step, to trust your path, and to live fully in alignment with who you are meant to be.
With love and care,
Nazia
