Assalamualaykum
Dear Beautiful soul,
Bismillah
This past week has been a heavy one for me. A lot of conversations, deep reflections, and challenges that left me feeling emotionally burnt out by the weekend. And it reminded me of something important: no matter how much you surrender, accept, or equip yourself with tools, challenges will always come. The only time life will be free of them is when it’s over.
But with every storm, there’s always something that shifts. Sometimes it forces you to make decisions you were too comfortable to make before. Sometimes the very du’as you’ve been making, or the goals on your vision board, are only being delayed because you’re not quite ready yet ,and these challenges prepare you for them. That’s what I felt this week: I don’t know the outcome yet, but I know I’ve done what’s in my control, and I’ve left the rest with Allah.
She Who Surrenders – A Small Offering, A Bigger Purpose
Most of you know by now that I compiled the She Who Surrenders booklet. Alhamdulillah, the proceeds are going directly to women in our community, single mothers, widows, and women in crisis. Thank you to everyone who has already purchased; your support is already turning into relief for someone else.
If you’d like to purchase She Who Surrenders or any of my digital products, you’ll find them here: My Gumroad Store.
Breaking Patterns, Breaking Silence
On Instagram this week, I opened up about colorism and body shaming. Both are realities I’ve experienced personally, and both are issues we often keep silent about. But silence only continues the cycle.
Sometimes the pain you’ve gone through isn’t there to break you; it’s there to make you a cycle-breaker. Someone has to say: “It ends with me.” That’s why healing matters so much. It’s not just for you, it’s for the generations after you.
Healing is simple, but it’s not quick. It took me years to get here. What I’ve learned is that real change doesn’t happen because circumstances suddenly improve. It happens because you change. You break the patterns, you shift your perspective, you set boundaries. That’s when life opens up differently.
As Warren Buffett once said, “The best investment you can make is in yourself.” And I’ve found that to be true in the deepest way, healing, growth, and self-work will always be worth it.
A Note on Emotional Healing Therapy
For those of you who are ready to begin, this is the work I do. Emotional Healing Therapy isn’t about endless talking sessions. The first step is always getting to the root of the issue uncovering the trauma, patterns, and beliefs that are holding you back. From there, I help you heal and equip you with practical tools to navigate the present and future.
Think of it like maintenance: once you’ve worked on the root, you learn how to support yourself day-to-day. But just like a car, once in a while you come in for a service to realign and reset.
Alongside 1:1 sessions, I’ve also created digital resources , from She Who Surrenders to self-paced courses on body positivity and upgrading your mindset — so you can move at your own pace.
You can book Emotional Healing Therapy sessions with me directly here: My Website.
The important thing is to start. The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago. The second-best time is today. Healing doesn’t need to be complicated start small, do one thing daily for yourself, and you’ll see the shift over time.
And remember: you don’t have to do it alone. Sometimes the biggest difference is having someone to guide you through it.
✨ Thank you for being here, reading, and walking this journey with me.
