First, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to fill in the eldest, youngest, and middle daughter questionnaires this last few weeks . The insights you’ve shared have been truly invaluable, and I can already see how this will guide some of the upcoming projects I’m working on. There’s so much to learn from these responses, and I’m grateful for your openness.

Embracing Your Emotions: A Compassionate Approach to Envy
Now, let’s talk about something that many of us feel but rarely admit: envy.
At some point in your life if we were to be truly honest, we've all experienced it. Society teaches us to repress these “negative” emotions, but I want to offer a different perspective. Feeling envy doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you human. envy is a message, not a reflection of who you are. It’s telling you something about what’s going on inside of you. Maybe it’s highlighting a fear of inadequacy, or maybe it’s a longing for something you feel you lack. Rather than shaming yourself, approach it with curiosity and compassion. Ask yourself: Why am I feeling this? What is it that I’m longing for or afraid of?
When you feel envy, it’s not the emotion itself that needs to be fixed, but the underlying beliefs and fears that it’s pointing to. Healing comes when we allow ourselves to sit with our emotions, understand them, and then use that awareness to move forward with compassion.
So, the next time you feel envy, don’t run from it. Don’t shame yourself. Instead, lean into it, and ask, “What’s beneath the surface?” This is how we heal by accepting, understanding, and working through our emotions with love and awareness.
