Dear beautiful soul,
Back to What Matters
This past weekend’s Morning Mindfulness in Nature retreat was such a needed breath of presence. There’s something about being together breathing fresh air, hearing the birds, moving slowly and intentionally that reminds us what we were made for.
After years of screens and scrolling, I truly believe we’ve lost touch with something essential: the healing power of real human connection. Not in a Zoom call. Not through DMs. But sitting in stillness beside someone, sharing space, exchanging real energy. That’s the kind of nourishment that no algorithm can give.
It reminded me how important it is to carve out more of these moments.
There’s something sacred about gathering in person in how much we need that real connection, real presence, real energy between hearts, we’re not made to live through screens. We're created for connection. And subhanAllah, the kind that fills you with life again isn’t found in pixels, it’s in shared silence, slow walks, deep breaths, and duas made under open skies.
InshaAllah, we’ll be having more of these moments together soon. Keep an eye out because, honestly, we need more of this.

The Cost of Mindlessness and Disconnection
One of the biggest things that gets in the way of our peace today?
it’s mindlessness. Disconnection. Knowing what matters, but living like you’ve forgotten.
It’s scrolling for hours, but feeling numb.
Praying, but not really being there.
Chasing, consuming, comparing, and wondering why we still feel empty.
What today’s psychology calls attention fragmentation, nervous system dysregulation, and existential vacuum
But the opposite of mindlessness? Is mindfulness and presence. Remembrance. Returning.
Your soul was never designed for noise.
You were made for stillness. For meaning.
“Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” — Qur’an 13:28
So maybe the solution isn’t more scrolling or more self-help, but more space. More silence. More surrender.
