Assalamualaykum
Dear Beautiful Soul
Bismillah,
This has been an eventful week , the kind that humbles you and makes you pause. One of the highlights was receiving the Gauteng Woman of Wonder Award.
Alhamdulillah.
But what truly moved me wasn’t the moment on stage; it was being in that room.
Before the event, I had gone through the list of nominees and read their bios. Each story carried so much depth, women who had overcome, built, created, led, and poured themselves into serving others. But being there in person, seeing them speak, laugh, share their journeys, that’s what left me in awe.
There was something beautiful about that space. A room full of women who weren’t competing, but simply being. Each one rooted in her purpose, grounded in her calling, quietly radiant in her own way. It made me reflect on how powerful it is when a woman knows why she’s here when she walks in alignment with her calling.
And I kept thinking to myself, this is what it looks like when purpose fuels you..
That sense of knowing, that you were born on purpose, for a purpose, changes everything. It’s what carries you through the days when you feel unseen, when doors close, or when life feels like it’s standing still. It reminds you that nothing is random. That even your waiting, your pain, your becoming, all of it is part of your purpose unfolding.
That’s what The Vision Within workshop this Saturday, 8th November, is about.
It’s not about “finding” your purpose because it’s already there, written into your being. It’s about uncovering it, clearing away the noise and self-doubt that have hidden it from view.
So many of us think clarity comes first, and then we’ll move. But often, clarity only comes through movement through reflection, through surrender, through asking Allah to show us what we can’t yet see.
This live class is a space to reconnect with your why. To remember the part of you that once dreamed fearlessly. To book your space, click here
🌱 Investing in Yourself
Being in that room reminded me again how investing in yourself changes everything. Not just the external things, your work, your relationships, your sense of success but the internal landscape that shapes how you move through life.
Healing, growth, reflection these are not luxuries. They are necessities if you want to live with peace and direction.
In my book Journey To Growth, I mentioned the story of the circus elephant , how, when it’s small, they tie its leg with a thin rope. It tries to break free, but it can’t. Eventually, it stops trying. And years later, even as a huge, powerful creature, it still doesn’t move, held by a rope it could easily snap.
We do the same. We stay bound by our old stories, our fears, our conditioning. But the truth is, we are far stronger than the ropes that hold us. Trauma happens, that's not your fault, but healing that’s your responsibility. It’s easy to blame others, to stay in the narrative of “what they did.” But no one else can walk your healing journey for you. Everyone is caught up in their own.
And when you take that responsibility, when you make the du’a, when you ask Allah for guidance, when you take that first step, you begin to reclaim your power. Because what you seek is also seeking you.(RUMI)
That’s why I continue to create spaces for this, whether through self-paced workshops, one-on-one emotional healing sessions, or live gatherings like The Vision Within, and resources in the Soulful Serenity community and even on Instagram and Facebook, each of these spaces, whether it’s this newsletter, my social pages, or our gatherings, exists for one reason:
To help you return home to yourself, with Allah at the center.
🌷 Reflection
Take a quiet moment and ask yourself:
What rope have I been tied to that I’ve long outgrown?
You have more power, more purpose, and more divine guidance than you realize.
You were born on purpose, and the world needs the light only you carry.
With Love and Gratitude
