Assalamu alaykum, dear beautiful soul,
Bismillah
The gratitude challenge officially wrapped up this week on the soulful serenity community but you know, gratitude doesn’t really end. If anything, this is where it begins. Every single day is another beginning. Every single day is a chance to whisper Alhamdulillah and mean it with your whole heart.
I was thinking the other day about how most of the things we complain about are honestly so small. The coffee got cold before we could drink it. We ate the same meat too many times this week. Someone finished the cold water in the fridge. These are the “problems” that make us upset. Meanwhile, someone else in the world is just praying for a meal, for clean water, for shelter.
It’s humbling, isn’t it? It made me realise again how important it is to keep this Alhamdulillah mentality alive not just for 30 days of a challenge, but as a way of living. Gratitude is consistency. It’s a lens you choose to wear every morning, no matter what the day brings.
The Healing Umbrella
In October, something very close to my heart is launching ,The Healing Umbrella.
Here’s why I call it that. Life will always bring storms. Sometimes it’s a drizzle, sometimes it’s a full-on downpour, thunder and lightning that shake you. We can’t stop the rain. We can’t control the wind. But we can carry an umbrella.
That umbrella doesn’t end the storm. It doesn’t take away the rain. But it gives you shelter. It lets you breathe. It reminds you that you’re not completely exposed.
That’s what this work is about reconnecting with your nervous system, learning to regulate when everything feels like too much, and remembering that even in the middle of the storm, Allah is still with you. You are not helpless. You are not alone. You have a place to stand and breathe, a covering that lets you ride it out without being drowned.
Three Months Left
We have three months left in this year. And I know the world loves to tell us to “finish strong.” Push harder. Do more. Achieve.
But what if you don’t need to finish strong? What if this year is asking you to finish soft?
Soft with gratitude.
Soft with surrender.
Soft with faith.
Soft with hope.
That, to me, is strength. To end the year not in exhaustion, but in remembrance. To end with Alhamdulillah on your tongue, in your heart, and in your breath.
So, don’t finish strong. Finish soft.
With love and gratitude,
Nazia
P.S. If your heart is nudging you for more personal support, I also hold one-on-one emotional healing sessions. Sometimes that private space makes all the difference in helping you find your own umbrella in the storm
