Assalamualaykum dear beautiful soul
Bismillah
We’re deep into the Month of Surrender Challenge in our Soulful Serenity community, and I want to be honest with you this journey has been deeply transformative for me. When I first created this challenge, it was because surrender and true acceptance were unfinished business in my own heart. I thought I was letting go, but I was still holding on to control, to expectations, to old stories, and expecting full results from Allah. That disconnect? It hit me hard. And I knew I wasn’t alone.
If you’ve been following along with the prompts, I’d love to know how this surrender is landing with you. It’s simple, yes, but beneath that simplicity lies the kind of healing that changes everything.
Body Image: The Cycle We Need to Break
Let’s get real for a moment about something so many of us wrestle with our bodies.
Our relationship with how we look, our skin, our hair, our weight it’s more than just personal feelings. These are inherited wounds, passed down through generations, cultures, and unspoken rules that say you’re not enough as you are.
I know this deeply because I’ve lived it. For years, I was trapped in harsh self-judgment and relentless comparison. But the moment I started to choose compassion over criticism when I began to listen to my body instead of fighting it — everything shifted.
There’s a scene from the movie Mean Girls that haunts me: a group of girls standing in front of a mirror, tearing themselves apart, waiting for the new girl to join in. That scene might be satire, but it’s painfully real. We’ve normalized this kind of self-sabotage teaching ourselves, and worse, our children, that loving our bodies is somehow not enough. That we must find flaws to fix.
That’s exactly why I created the Learning to Love Your Body Masterclass. It’s not about chasing perfection or fitting a trend. It’s about healing , rewriting the painful stories we’ve inherited and choosing compassion as our daily practice. Healing Is Not Selfish ,It’s Revolutionary
Investing in ourselves is still taboo in many of our communities.
Therapy, emotional healing, taking time for ourselves these things are often whispered about, hidden behind shame or stigma. I recently spoke about this on a radio interview about childhood trauma, and yes, therapy is still met with hesitation and discomfort.
But here’s the thing: healing is not a luxury. It is a radical act of love and liberation. It’s how we break cycles and refuse to hand down unprocessed pain to the next generation.
If you’re feeling that pull to heal, to grow, to finally put yourself first, I’m here. My emotional healing sessions are deeply personal and intensive, so spaces are limited. Payment plans are available to make this accessible, but booking early is important, and there is a waiting list. If you want to learn more or reserve your spot, please reach out, because your healing is worth every moment of waiting.

Lastly remember
Every time you choose compassion instead of criticism…
Every time you invest in your own growth…
Every time you challenge a belief you were raised with…
You’re not just healing yourself ,you’re breaking a cycle.
And if you ask me, that’s one of the most powerful ways to return to yourself , and to Allah.
With love, gentleness, and full permission to be kind to yourself,
Nazia
