There’s something I’ve been reflecting on , something that I think we all need to be reminded of, especially when life feels overwhelming:
We often talk about mindfulness. We speak about breathwork, nervous system regulation, and emotional healing. We save all the inspirational carousels and quotes. We know what to do. But when the storm hits… are we actually doing it?
It’s like anything else in life, you can read every book about swimming, but it means nothing until you’re in the water and have to move your arms and kick your legs. Healing is the same. If we don’t practice when the sea is calm, how do we expect to stay afloat when the waves rise?
This is why consistency and repetition matter.
You’re not just gaining tools for when things feel “off.” You’re training. Preparing. Strengthening. So when the inevitable storms come and they will, you’ll know what to do. You’ll know how to breathe through it, where to anchor yourself, and how to rise again.
