Soulful Serenity Newsletter No. 35
As-salāmu ‘alaykum, dear beautiful soul,
Bismillah,
The academic year is officially underway this week, and life is slowly settling back into its rhythm. The holidays are behind us, routines are finding their groove, and yet… with structure comes the familiar weight of our minds. Lists of tasks, school prep, work responsibilities, household management all of it can make us feel robotic, rushing through life instead of living it.
And that’s why this week on the Soulful Serenity group, I’ve launched a Reset & Reconnect Challenge. simple tools to help us pause, breathe, and reconnect to ourselves. If you’d like to join, you can find us in the Soulful Serenity WhatsApp group
Why the Now Matters
We often live in our minds a place filled with worry, fear, and constant calculation. Our minds were designed to help us survive, to alert us to danger. But when we overstay there, when we live too much in thought, that’s when we lose presence. That’s when shaitan plants his whispers, and our thoughts spiral into rumination.
We travel endlessly from past to future, never truly here. And it’s in the present in the now ,that we connect with ourselves, with Allah, and with the life unfolding before us. Presence is a gift. The present is where peace, clarity, and contentment reside.
Learning to pause, breathe, and ground ourselves is not optional. It’s a vital skill for our well-being , spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. It allows us to love more, to respond rather than react, to break patterns that have been wired into us since childhood.
Practical Steps to Stay Present
Even small shifts make a profound difference:
- Take intentional pauses: Stop for a moment to breathe deeply, to be still, even for a few minutes.
- Observe without judgment: Notice your thoughts, your emotions, your reactions, without being swept away by them.
- Seek support if needed: Hiring a coach or therapist isn’t a luxury , it’s an investment in learning how to manage your nervous system, process trauma, and break old patterns.
- Protect your energy: Be mindful of how others’ energy impacts you, and how yours impacts them. Awareness here helps you respond more consciously within your family and community.
If you feel tired, overwhelmed, or anxious as routines return, step back, take a breath, and surrender to the One who holds all control. Take life one step at a time. Presence is cultivated moment by moment not in the rush, not in the chaos, but in the stillness between the tasks.
A Celebration of Growth
I’m thrilled to share that our Soulful Serenity website is now live! Alhamdulillah, it’s user-friendly, easy to navigate, and filled with new features:
- Book emotional healing sessions
- Access masterclasses and workshops
- Purchase Journey to Growth as an e-book , perfect for those who want an immediate, accessible version
This is a small but meaningful step in creating more access to tools for your growth and healing.

As we settle back into routine, let this be your reminder:
Life is happening now. It doesn’t wait. The moments, the laughter, the stillness they are all gifts.
Pause. Breathe. Ground yourself. Notice the textures of your day, the whispers of your heart, the blessings tucked between tasks. Presence isn’t about doing more; it’s about being fully here, fully alive, fully aware.
And when you do, life begins to shift. The rush softens. The mind quiets. You see more, feel more, and move through each day with intention rather than autopilot.
Let this week be your reset ,a gentle return to yourself, a reminder that your peace is worth protecting, and that each moment you are present is a moment you are truly living.
With love, presence, and gratitude,
Nazia
